Acquisition and collection development: Collection development with reference to departmental libraries, main subjects of the library holdings, teaching/research subjects of the university Acquisition processing for all kind of books: ordering, book trade communication, registering, inventory, claiming, invoice and fund control etc.

OPAC administration OPAC design, search strategies tec. Printed and electronic items in the same catalogue Providing users with Library news Combining users suggestions
User and reference administration Circulation and patron files Borrowing , claiming, charging, reserving, renewal, etc. RFID administration for existing items Reference and help services User support Inventory
IT General IT management by the IT department of the university Library related IT problems: OPAC, databases, repositories etc. Organizing special IT services for the users Admin functions, e. f. KOHA
Service and user development Analyzing the different user groups of university, faculties and department by special demands, subjects etc. Developing services according to user needs Cooperation with departmental libraries Coordinating services
Relation to university and departmental libraries Keeping close contact to the faculties Coordinating library activities within the university Supporting the collection development Organize book fairs from publishers, distributors, local booksellers etc. for the libraries of the university
